COURSE CURRICULUM
when is it?
5 weeks, 4 hours on Sundays, total of 20 hours - January 2021.
where is it?
on Zoom, friends, so get a comfy space ready in your home.
what are we gonna do?
this course is a synthesis of intuitive reader practices and sayezz pilates FUNdamental practices.
we will learn an intuitive skill, a movement practice, and a sayezz pilates principle each week all leading toward building a complete intuitive movement structure for your own self-practice, or to guide students and clients. it comes out of the need - underscored by this particular moment, but forever relevant - to move deeper into compassion and empathy for ourselves and for everyone and everything on this planet. it's a way to channel a deep knowing in our bodies, to help keep us simultaneously grounded as well as elevated above the bullshit around us.
here are the questions that stephanie's answering by developing this training:
- how can i stay in my highest alignment and serve, especially during this moment in time?
- how can i synthesize bodymindspirit, and what does that actually look like?
- what's the purpose of learning anatomy and anatomical language in a pilates movement course?
- am i bringing enough compassion and empathy to my ecologies (i.e. the relationship I have with my own body, between myself and fellow humans, and in physical and virtual space)?
- how can this course serve as a playground to support YOU so we can all be witnesses to our own transformation into rockstars, ie. humans aligned with their purpose, spreading their starlight on this planet?
here's how stephanie envisions each class:
Week 1
intuitive skill: plugging into Source & finding our Yes and No
movement practice: pelvic stability and deep abdominals
sayezz principle: introducing philosophy and pedagogy
Week 2
intuitive skill: conscious role-playing
movement practice: rib connections
sayezz principle: neutral pelvis & neutral spine
Week 3
intuitive skill: clairvoyance (visions) & feeling
movement practice: leg extensions & spinal mobility
sayezz principle: domes & energy centers
Week4
intuitive skill: clairaudience (hearing) & knowing
movement practice: moving planes
sayezz principle: planes of movement
Week5
intuitive skill: building structure
movement practice: full FUNdamental flow
sayezz principle: synthesizing
***please note that i envision A LOT of practice - in breakout rooms with each other and in a large group setting. we are meant to move, and we are gonna move together!
what do i need?
you'll need space in our home, access to the internet and Zoom, a mat, and a long yoga strap and a squishy ball. because hand's on is unavailable, these props will serve as biofeedback helpers. a full color pdf manual is part of the course, and I'll send that to ya along with the Zoom link the day before the course begins.
***i will have straps and bands available for the first 10 folks who sign up, included with their course purchase.
